Sachs Recreation Center Facility Closure (Update as of August 25)

The Sachs Recreation Center will remain closed for facility maintenance and renovations through Sunday, August 27.

On Monday August 28, the west side of the facility will re-open to allow access to the Group Exercise Studio for fitness classes and the Swimming Pool for lap swim. Both of these activities require advance registration. No walk-ins will be permitted.

On Tuesday September 5, the east end of the facility will re-open for all Sachs Recreation Center activities and programs.

During the closure, we have secured alternative locations for SRC members to go to and workout.

The Recreation Center of Highland Park, 1207 Park Ave., Highland Park, www.pdhp.org, will be available from August 24-September 4 during regular business hours at no cost to SRC members.

The Techny Prairie Activity Center, 180 Anets Dr., Northbrook, www.nbfitness.org will be available August 27-September 4 during regular business hours at no cost to SRC members. Both facilities’ fitness center areas are available for working out. Fitness classes are not included during these times but are available for an extra fee. SRC members must present their membership ID to be allowed entry into each facility.

There is a modified Group Exercise Class Schedule posted on the SRC website that goes through Monday September 4 that provides daily class options. Click this link, Group Exercise Shut Down Schedule, to view class days and times along with location information. Pre-registration is required for all classes. SRC members are also able to use their membership ID to visit the Mitchell Pool at no cost during the closure. Check the park district pools webpage, www.deerfieldparks.org.parks-facilities/pools/  for up-to-date pool availability information.
