Parks and Recreation Professionals Day

As part of Park and Recreation Month, we joined National Recreation and Park Association, NRPA in recognizing Park and Recreation Professionals Day on Friday, July 21. We are celebrating all of our park champions who make the Deerfield Park District shine with unwavering dedication to high-quality experiences, keeping our parks clean, welcoming and fun for all! This is a day to celebrate all the dedicated professionals who build strong, vibrant and resilient communities through the power of parks and recreation.

During the board meeting on Thursday, July 20 2023 our Deerfield Park District Board of Commissioners passed a proclamation designating, July 21 as Parks and Recreation Professionals Day. To read the proclamation passed by the board, click below.
