Halloween Hoopla Part 1 – Scarecrow Building and Pumpkin Decorating
This new outdoor event kicks off the Halloween Hoopla series this fall at the Deerfield Park District. Enjoy scarecrow building, pumpkin decorating, a variety of fall arts and crafts, food and games.
Date: Saturday, October 3
Time: 2 – 2:45 pm, 3 – 3:45 pm and 4 – 4:45 pm
Register for one 45 minute time block. Each family member attending must be registered. Time slots will be capped at 50 people.
Location: Jewett Park Pavillion
Fee: Free (you must pre-register for this free event)
Event Protocol & Safety Measures:
All participants must wear masks when arriving at events and checking in. Once the event begins, participants will be distanced from other families and masks may be removed.
In case of inclement weather, events will be moved inside and participants will be required to wear masks for the entirety of the event.
Hand sanitizer will be provided at all events for participant use.
Between each time block, staff will sanitize all surfaces.
If you are experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms, have a fever or have been recently exposed to someone with Covid-19, please stay home and protect other participants and staff.
Halloween Hoopla Part 2 – Halloween Family Fun Fest
Join us for an afternoon of Halloween fun featuring balloon twisters, Halloween themed arts & crafts, airbrush tattoos and prepackaged Halloween treats!
Date: Saturday, October 24
Time: 2 – 2:45 pm, 3 – 3:45 pm and 4 – 4:45 pm
Register for one 45 minute time block. Each family member attending must be registered. Time slots will be capped at 50 people.
Age: 2 – 6 years old with parent
Location: Jewett Park Pavillion
Fee: $5 per person (you must pre-register for this event)

Halloween Hoopla Part 3 – Halloween Costume Family Fun WALK
This NEW event will culminate the Halloween Hoopla series. Participants will enjoy a family-friendly fun walk around Woodland Park in Halloween costumes. Each participant will receive a Halloween Fun Walk medal upon completion of the walk, a treat bag and the opportunity to participate in a virtual costume contest.

Time: 10 – 10: 45 & 11 – 11:45 am
