Pay Your Balance Online

You can now pay your balance online using the registration website. This includes camp balances, prepayment for next year's preschool, or additional fees for lottery second choice or waitlist enrollments. After you log in, just click on the "My Account" menu at the top of the screen, then click on "Pay Old Balance". You can choose which items you want to pay by clicking the shopping cart icon, then follow the normal checkout procedure.

Lottery Registration

To give all our residents an equal opportunity to register for programs and to eliminate long lines during registration, we use a computerized random lottery system for registration. To be included in the lottery, your registration form must be received at the park district by the deadline. For your convenience, you may fax, mail or drop off your form –- or register online! Residents of the Deerfield Park District have priority when registering for classes and activities.

Lottery Confirmation

Approximately two weeks after the lottery deadline, you will receive a receipt in the mail with your household's lottery results.

Waiting Lists

If you select only a first choice and if it is full, you will be put on a waiting list. If you select a second choice, you will be placed in that second choice if there is an opening and will be dropped from the waiting list for your first choice. If your second choice is full, you will then be placed on a waiting list for your first choice. We will notify you of all class placements, cancellations, and/or changes.

Dance Registration

You may register for dance programs as soon as you receive the brochure. Pay for dance classes separately if you wish to register
prior to the registration deadline date. Please put “Dance Registration” on the envelope.

Payment

  • Payment is due in full at the time of registration unless otherwise indicated.
  • You may pay all fees with one check made out to the Deerfield Park District or by credit card. Please tell us what it's for and include your telephone number.
  • Do not mail cash!
  • All fax registrations must be paid by credit card.

Improper Registration

Those who register for Park District programs and improperly use a Deerfield address are removed from the class and no refund or transfer fee is provided. Non-residents pay a higher fee per program. Note: Non-residents are not eligible for resident fees even if their caretaker/ provider/relative resides in Deerfield.

Buddy System

We offer the "buddy system" to allow friends and siblings to take classes together.

  • You may register with one other person. Residents may ask only to buddy with other residents; non-residents may ask to buddy only with other non-residents.
  • All buddy requests must be made by mail or drop off. We’re sorry, but buddy requests cannot be accepted by fax or online.
  • If you “buddy up,” both program requests must be identical (including second choices).
  • Be sure to staple your registration forms together and include a separate check or credit card information for each form. Write "BUDDY" at the top of each form.
  • The Buddy System applies only to programs, not to teams or groups.

Priority Registration

In an effort to serve as many residents as we can, the Deerfield Park District uses a Priority Registration system during the Winter/Spring seasons only. How Priority Registration works:

  • If you are a resident and were placed on a waiting list for a winter class and you do not get into that class, you may be given priority registration status for that same first choice section of the same class in the spring session.
  • If you sign up for another section of the same class that meets on a different day or at a different time, you will not be eligible for priority registration.
  • In fairness to new registrants, we designate up to 50 percent of the enrollment for priority registrants, provided they have followed all the steps outlined in their priority information mailing.
  • Prior to the delivery of the spring brochure, those with priority registration status for spring classes will be sent a special priority information instruction sheet and a priority registration form. The registrant must fill out this form and attach payment.
  • All priority registration forms must be returned with payment to the park district by the mail-in registration deadline indicated. Note, this form is to be used ONLY for priority registration. Use the regular park district registration form to register for all other classes.
  • THERE ARE NO BUDDY REQUESTS WITH PRIORITY REGISTRATION.
  • Priority registration applies only to non-skill oriented and entry level classes. It does not include tennis, golf, gymnastics, athletic leagues, or performing arts classes.

Proof of Deerfield Park District Residency Status

In order to receive "Resident" rates, you are required to show proof of residence. Once your household has done this you do not need to repeat the process. This procedure has been re-instituted to ensure district residents receive priority in enrolling for high demand activities.

Proof of Residency includes BOTH:

1) A current residential utility bill (gas, electric, water - no phone bills accepted) with your name and your mailing address; AND

2) A valid driver's license or other photo identification containing your current address.

Documentation may be brought to the registration office at Jewett Park Community Center during normal business hours.
