HOW WE’RE KEEPING YOU SAFE

Our team is working hard on the plans to operate with physical distancing, group capacity limits and rigorous sanitizing protocols. We are preparing the facility, training the staff as well as finalizing our new operational plans. We are reviewing guidance from Starguard Elite, PDRMA, CDC and IDPH and implementing operational adjustments to ensure the safety of patrons and staff.

Here are just a few of the changes you can expect while visiting Mitchell Pool:

  • Lounge chairs will not be provided, however, you are welcome to bring your own.
  • Aquatic staff will be wearing face coverings while on the deck, in common areas and while interacting with patrons.
  • High-touch surfaces will be sanitized frequently and locker rooms will be sanitized every two hours.
  • Between each “time block” of visitors, staff will sanitize all surfaces and equipment.
  • Face coverings/masks will not be required for patrons when they are swimming but will be expected to wear a face-covering/mask when entering the facility, on the pool deck and in common areas.
  • Locker rooms will be open for changing, but lockers will be blocked off.
  • Every other shower and restroom stall will be available in the locker rooms.
  • Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult age 18 or older.
