1999 small group of local citizens approached Park Board with a proposal for new recreation center for which there was not significant community support
2006 investigation of acquiring Multiplex
2008 Multiplex purchased
2009 Sachs Recreation Center opened and district received outstanding Facility and Park Award from the Illinois Park and Recreation Association
2009 Before-and-After Kindergarten care program and spa rental space
2010 first year hosted Deerfield High School Post Prom Celebration
2011 Chicago Sky professional women’s basketball team made SRC their practice home, whirlpool/sauna space was converted to Mind Body Studio
2013 board approved Sachs Entryway First Amendment to Grant of Easement Agreement and the entryway was renovated with playground installation
2015 pilates reformer studio opening and U.V. protection as part of the pool filtration system
2017 Men’s Locker Room renovation
2018 Retro Café Renovation into an exercise studio
