Sachs Recreation Center Facility Maintenance Closure, August 12-16

The Sachs Recreation Center will be closed for maintenance from Monday, August 12 through Friday, August 16. During the closure several projects will be completed.

Listed below is a summary of the work being done:

• The wood floors in Gymnasiums A & B will be sanded, repainted with lines for basketball, volleyball, and pickleball, and then coated with multiple layers of finish.
• New tennis court divider net skirting will be installed, and the playing surfaces will be deep cleaned.
• The swimming pool will be closed from August 10-21 for cleaning and maintenance. The pool and whirlpool will be drained and cleaned, locker rooms will be deep cleaned, and pool mechanical systems will undergo annual maintenance. New lane lines will also be installed.
• As part of our annual wood floor maintenance, the Group Exercise Studio and racquetball court will be screened and sealed.

During the closure, Sachs Recreation Center members can work out for free at the Northbrook Park District’s Techny Prairie Activity Center, located at 180 Anets Drive, Northbrook. This offer is available from August 12-16 during regular business hours. Fitness classes are not included but can be accessed for an additional fee. SRC members must present their membership ID to be allowed entry into the facility.
