Deerfield Park District’s Finalist Award for the National Gold Medal Awards in Parks and Recreation Management

Deerfield Park District receives national recognition as a leader in parks and recreation service, receiving a Finalist Award for the 2022 National Gold Medal Awards for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management from the American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration.

Agencies are judged on their ability to address the needs of those they serve through the collective energies of community members, staff and elected officials. Our unique, well-designed, lasting partnerships coupled with our variety of facilities and service offerings ranked us among the best in the nation.

We were humbled to receive our grand plaque at the National Recreation and Park Association conference in September and to have Greg Petry, a representative of AAPRA, attend our board meeting in October to present our plaque locally.

We look forward to continuing to serve the Deerfield residents, with outstanding parks, services, facilities and recreation programs that enrich lives, promote healthy living and inspire memorable experiences.
