Deerfield Park District Program Protocol Update February 24, 2022

The Governor is anticipated to lift the Illinois Indoors Mask Mandate on February 28, 2022, contingent on declining COVID related metrics. When the mask mandate is officially lifted, the following protocols will be implemented at Deerfield Park District facilities:

Patty Turner Center: Masks are encouraged but not required while inside the facility. Participants on district-sponsored trips will be required to wear masks while in buses and will comply with any host venue requirements for masks.

Deerfield Golf Club: Masks are encouraged but not required while inside the clubhouse.

Sachs Recreation Center: Contingent on the Cook County Health Department lifting their proof of vaccination and mask mandate, masks are encouraged but no longer required while inside the facility and no proof of vaccination needs to be shown for persons over 18. Cook County has indicated that they will lift the proof of vaccination and mask mandate on February 28.

Jewett Park Community Center: Masks are encouraged but no longer required while inside the facility.

Preschool: Masks are encouraged but no longer required.

School Districts 113 and 109: Program participants will continue to follow the school districts’ respective mask protocols at their facilities.

We ask for your understanding and willingness to respect other people’s choices regarding mask wearing as we anticipate many persons still desiring to wear masks. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we have navigated through what we hope are the worst periods of the pandemic.  As we are still in a pandemic, any or all protocols are subject to change based on many levels of guidance and requirements the park district follows.
