Parks and Playgrounds Usage Reminders

The Deerfield Park District is very pleased to see residents utilizing the many amenities within the parks system. We think, through the heavy use of our trails and sports courts, that Deerfield may be one of the healthiest communities around! As we continue to enjoy the beautiful weather, we do want to pass on some reminders.

We are still in Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois Plan which includes some restrictions on park amenities and recreation activities. The overriding guideline for many of these activities is a limit of 50 person gatherings in areas such as playgrounds and the need to wear face coverings if you are unable to properly social distance. We have worked with our youth sports affiliates to ensure that they follow their respective state guidelines. Outdoor activities and programs provided by the park district will also continue to be offered within these guidelines. As we near the colder part of our year, we ask that you follow all state and local guidelines while recreating in the parks. Be safe and be well.
