COVID-19 Cases Reported at Deerfield Park District Summer Camp at Wilmot Elementary School

The Deerfield Park District has learned that two of our campers at Wilmot Elementary School have tested positive for COVID-19. Both children are asymptomatic.

The two sections of the camp where the kids were participating have been shut down for the next 14 days. The remaining sections of camps at Wilmot Elementary School have been deemed safe to reopen Monday as per Lake County Health Department guidance because of the protocols implemented by the park district for the camp location.

The park district will continue to coordinate efforts with the Lake County Health Department and School District 109 to ensure the safety of all participants.
