Virtual Sports Programs

Enjoy learning or practicing some of your favorite sports in our summer virtual sports programs. All classes will be held via Zoom. Once you register for a class, a Zoom link will be sent out to you prior to the first day of class. Please contact Jim Gariti with questions.

Virtual Total Sports   Age:  6-9
Children will be introduced to the fundamentals of sports including basketball, soccer, and t-ball. Class will be active and fun, with games and challenges working on balancing, jumping, and movement. Register

Virtual Fitness, Speed and Agility     Age: 7-11
This class is designed to improve overall coordination and athleticism. Drills and activities are aimed to improve speed, endurance, explosive power, and reaction time.  Register

Virtual Advanced Basketball Skills   Age: 9-13
Work on individual skills and improve ball handling, footwork, and conditioning. This class is for the more advanced player that has already developed some fundamental skills. Register

Virtual Sports and More   Age: 3-6
Children will be introduced to the fundamentals of sports including basketball, soccer, and t-ball. The class will be active and fun, with games and challenges working on balancing, jumping, and movement. Register

Virtual Soccer 101   Age: 7-11
Players are introduced to the fundamentals of soccer such as foot skills, offensive moves, defensive moves, and keeping/controlling the ball. Physical endurance and fitness are emphasized while touching the ball. Register

Virtual Pee Wee Soccer   Age: 3-6
Work on individual skills and improve on ball handling, footwork, and conditioning. This class is for the more advanced player that has already developed some fundamental skills. Register

Virtual Double Play: Soccer and Basketball   Age: 6-9
Play both of your favorites sports each week. This class will introduce the fundamentals of each sport, along with emphasizing physical endurance and fitness. Register

Virtual Lil’ Dribblers   Age: 3-6
The Lil’ Dribblers Basketball program will focus on training balance, body awareness, motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to follow directions. Dribbling skills will be developed as well as body positioning on offense and defense. Register

Virtual Basketball Ball Handling & Footwork   Age: 7-11
Players will focus on ball handling drills using both one and two basketballs, as well as beating a defender off the dribble. Footwork will be emphasized through both offensive and defensive positioning drills. Register

Virtual Taekwondo   Age: 4-6 & 7+
The Taekwondo classes you know and love normally held at Sachs Recreation Center are currently offered virtually! Keeping students active and learning! Register

Virtual Gentle/Beginning Yoga   Age: 18+
This class is designed for students who enjoy a gentle approach or are new students to Yoga. The class will use simple stretches and postures to improve flexibility and overall good health and encourage relaxation through breath awareness. Register

Virtual Continuing Yoga   Age: 18+
This class is designed to help students advance and grow in their Yoga practice. It is for students with previous knowledge of Yoga who are looking to advance their practice. The class will include postures, breath awareness and relaxation. Register
