The Deerfield Park District partners with True Lacrosse, NXT Sports, North Shore Lacrosse Aassociation, and Illinois Girls Lacrosse Association to offer programs including indoor pre-season clinics, spring travel teams and much more!  

Lacrosse Preseason Team Training (Spring)

These clinics focus on fundamentals and learning the game. New players will be taught the basics of the game; cradling, passing, shooting, dodging, defensive technique and ground balls. Where intermediate players will focus on technique to better their play. Sessions will be run by a former professional midfielder. Class meets on Thursdays at the Sachs Center for six weeks beginning February.

Boys True Lacrosse League (Spring)          

True Lacrosse, the Midwest’s premier lacrosse training program, offers its members the opportunity to work with experienced, professional coaches and develop into skilled players with a greater understanding of the game and a better sense of how to perform as an individual and work with a team.  We recognize the ability of lacrosse to help players grow into confident, contributing members of the game and their communities.

  • The program is for Boys in grades 5 through 8.
  • They will practice twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 
  • Games will be on Saturdays or Sundays.
  • Home games will be played on the Deerfield High School Turf Field.
  • The season runs April - June.

Illinois Girls Lacrosse (Spring & Fall)         

Be a part of a youth lacrosse league exclusively for girls. Program goals are: to understand the rules of lacrosse; active teamwork; sportsmanship; and to foster personal development in a respectful environment led by positive coaching. All players will receive equal playing time. Games are played on Sunday afternoons and game locations rotate within your division. K-1: The goals of this program are to introduce and develop basic skills for our youngest players, using fun games and coaching techniques. No games for K-1. Players must purchase a $20 pinny (If player has a pinny from Spring 2016, she may wear it during Fall 2016.) K-1 FUN-damentals Clinic participants receive a t-shirt.
