Privacy Policy

The Deerfield Park District takes your privacy very seriously.  We have prepared this privacy policy statement so you know what our policies are and how they affect you.

Information Collection and Use

GENERAL

The Deerfield Park District (DFPD) collects personal information when you register with us for park district programs, activities, passes, etc.  If you request access to the DPFD online registration system, we retain the e-mail address you supply as a means to send communications regarding transactions you process on our website.

DFPD automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, cookie information relating only to our site, and the pages you request.

At any time you may request that your online registration account be deactivated, and we will comply with your request.  Historical transactions may be retained by the park district for audit and archival purposes.

The Deerfield Park District will not share your e-mail address or other personal information with any third party for marketing purposes.

CHILDREN

The Deerfield Park District requires the parent or guardian to enter registrations on behalf of minors.  Since the DFPD website requires an “electronic signature” on the waiver of liability agreement, only a parent or guardian may enroll a minor in an activity.

We only collect such information as is necessary to conduct programs and activities.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Deerfield Park District does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or nonaffiliated companies except to provide products or services you’ve requested.

We may provide the information to trusted partners who work on behalf of or with DFPD. These companies or individuals may use your information in the normal course of offering classes or activities.  However, these companies do not have any independent right to share this information.

We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; or if we believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of Deerfield Park District policies, or as otherwise required by law.

COOKIES

DFPD websites may set and access cookies on your computer.  We do not access cookies set by other websites, nor do we offer access to our cookies by other websites.

CONFIDENTIALITY & SECURITY

DFPD.ORG uses industry-standard encryption technologies to ensure that your personal and financial information remains safe.  Our database does not store cardholder data beyond the standards of PCI-DSS standards, and payment information is encrypted during transmission.

We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide services to you or in order to do their jobs.

We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with government regulations to protect personal information about you.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

The Deerfield Park District may update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your account or by placing a prominent notice on our website.
