Grants-In-Aid (scholarships) / Be a Deer of the Park Foundation
As outlined in the Park Foundation’s Mission Statement, we help provide assistance for residents in serious financial need to participate in Deerfield Park District programs. Following are ways to participate. Many generous individuals provide funds for “Grants-In-Aid” by using the donate button below.
Everyone is welcome to make a donation to our Grants-in-Aid program and to “Be A Dear” of the Park Foundation. Special thanks to the Optimist Club of Deerfield for their continuing support and to the “Dears” listed on Recognition page.
Linda Gryziecki College Scholarships
Two $1,000 Linda Gryziecki College/Post-Secondary Institution scholarships, named to honor Deerfield Park District’s Executive Director Linda Gryziecki who retired in 2011 after 38 years of service, are offered each year – one to a graduating high school senior and one to a current college/post-secondary institution student. The first Scholarship was awarded to Callie Wilbat in 2012.
The Linda Gryziecki Scholarship opportunity was repeated and awarded in May, 2013 to graduating H.S. Senior Alyssha Glass and to college student Mark Stern The 2014 winners are Erin Kastar and Nichole Beckman.

Donations supporting the programs and services of the Deerfield Park District may be made through the Deerfield Park Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, nongovernmental entity. All donations are tax exempt as allowed by law.
