After twenty-seven years with the District, five as Executive Director, Rick Julison will be retiring from his position at the end of the year. In anticipation of this change, the Board of Park Commissioners partnered with the Illinois Association of Park Districts (IAPD) to conduct an extensive search for a New Executive Director.
We are pleased to announce that on November 17, 2016, at our regularly scheduled meeting of the Park Board of Commissioners, we will take action to hire Jeff Nehila to the position of Executive Director.

He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland and a Master’s Degree in Recreation Management from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse. Jeff also holds the CPRE certification from NRPA. Jeff is married and has two daughters, one in high school and one in college. He enjoys fishing, biking, skiing and is an avid Red Sox fan. He has also played and coached competitive soccer for many years.
We are excited about the future and are pleased to welcome Jeff in his leadership role with the District.
