Four Hands Encore Concert

The Concert begins at 2:00 p.m. in Deerfield in the Members’ Auditorium. A Reception follows at 3:00 p.m., in the Atrium.

SAORI CHIBAis a native of Tokyo, Japan.  A brilliant pianist, Ms. Chiba is the recipient of numerous awards and accolades for superb keyboard artistry.  Of her five current recordings, two have captured the Daily Herald's coveted TOP TEN CLASSICAL CDs OF THE YEAR Award and one was selected to the GRAMMY AWARD Entry List category of BEST CHAMBER MUSIC PERFORMANCE.  Ms. Chiba's CDs receive air-play via prominent FM radio stations such as WFMT, WFIU, KING, etc.  She has also collaborated with conductor Christoph Eschenbach and violinist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg at the Ravinia Festival.  

PAUL DYKSTRAis Music Director and Conductor of the Lira Symphony and the Lira Chamber Orchestra of Chicago, IL.  He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of South Dakota and since has garnered a reputation as a critically acclaimed concert pianist and accompanist.  Mr. Dykstra established his role as a notable conductor as well as vocal coach at the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria. 

The Registration Deadline is Wednesday, August 15. Fees are $5 for Patty Turner Center Members and $10 for Non Members* This concert event is being sponsored by Whitehall of Deerfield.
