This past weekend at the Rec Plex COHO finished first in female, male, and combined team points on the way to winning the May Mania Meet hosted by the Blue Devil Swim Club.
Just two meets into the long course season and our swimmers have already broken more than half the number of team records set during the entire 2011 long course season!
SEVENTEEN NEW COHO TEAM RECORDS!
Anna Kurzydlo broke big sister Lily's record in the 9-10 girls 400 free. She was the lone girl who set a new Team Record at the meet, as the boys, especially the 8&unders, were smashing records all over the place!
In the 8&under boys age group Jayson Fishman led the way with 4 new Team Records (8&under boys 50 back, 100 back, 100 breast, 200 IM). Jaden Cole set 3 new Team Records (200 free, 50 fly, 100 fly). In several events both boys went under the current Team Record, and in the 200 free Jaden, Jayson, and Zac Sher ALL went under the previous record! The 8&unders boys 200 Free Relay Team of Jaden Cole, Jared Letwat, Zac Sher, and Jayson Fishman also set a new COHO Team Record!
In the 9-10 boys age group David Basin set 4 new Team Records (9-10 boys 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, and 1500 free).
In the 11-12 boys age group Brent Bouslog set a new Team Record in the 11-12 boys 1500 free. Both Brent and Andrew Devedjianwent under the previous record.
Chris Kearney set Team Records in the 13-14 boys 100 free and 400 free. Chris also broke Kevin Ewing's Team Record in the Open boys 400 free....anyone else guessing that record isn't safe for long?!
New State Qualifying Times were achieved by: David Basin (50 back, 100 back, 100 fly); Brent Bouslog (50 free, 200 breast, 200 IM);Andrew Devedjian (200 back); Margaret Guanci (100 back); Chris Kearney (200 back); Nicole Piatek (100 free); and Ryan Smith(100 free).
